Cornell, Markham is the perfect place to call home! Cornell is a newly planned community conceived in the mid-1990s in the North-Eastern part of Markham (bounded by 9th Line, 407 ETR, and Donald Cousens Parkway). The area currently consists of the subdivisions Cornell Village, Grand Cornell, Cornell Rouge and Upper Cornell. In 2012, it was named one of the Top 100 Best Investment Neighborhoods in Canada by the Canada Real Estate Wealth Magazine and in 2015 ranked 5th in Toronto’s Top Neighbourhoods Best Deals in Real Estate by Money Sense Magazine.
What makes the Cornell community desirable are the unique architectural styles of the homes – towns, semis, detached, coach houses, bungalofts, live/work retail and 3-storey homes. This is not your traditional cookie cutter subdivision.
Living in Cornell gives you a great sense and pride of community. The Cornell Village Online Forum (www.cornellvillage.ca) and Social Media Groups allow residents to connect. The Cornell Residents Association (www.mycornell.ca) & Keep Cornell Beautiful (www.keepcornellbeautiful.ca)were formed by local volunteers with the commitment to enhance the living experience in Cornell.
Local volunteers put in countless hours in organizing events including Cornell Picnic, Community Wide Garage Sale, Christmas Caroling, Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Holiday Decorating Contests, Golf Tournament, Cornell Spring & Fall Clean Up, Fireworks, Skating Rinks at Parks and more. My personal favourite is during Christmas and Halloween where the community is most vibrant and beautiful.
Cornell has a small town feel with all the conveniences of living in the big city. Just walking distance to Viva Transit, Markham Stouffville Hospital, New Cornell Community Centre & Library, Schools, Local Businesses, Convenience Stores, Day Care, Church and Parks which are located on every corner to make it perfect for families with children and dogs. Minutes to Hwy 407 ETR, GO Transit, Main Street Markham & Unionville, Markville Mall. Wal-mart, TD Bank, Longos, Home Depot, Restaurants and Much More!
Cornell is where I call home and is the perfect community to raise your family. Have more questions? Feel free to call/text me at 647-300-7584.
